The Promise and the Pitfalls: Navigating Generative and Agentic AI in Medical Imaging

Dr. Woojin Kim is Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer at HOPPR and Chief Medical Officer at the American College of Radiology Data Science Institute. He is also a musculoskeletal radiologist at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center.

Dr. Kim is a serial entrepreneur and leader in imaging informatics. He co-founded Equium Intelligence (acquired by Rad AI), Montage Healthcare Solutions (acquired by Nuance) and previously served as CMIO at Nuance Communications.

Earlier in his career, he held multiple leadership roles at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, including Director of the Center for Translational Imaging Informatics and Associate Director of Imaging Informatics.

Dr. Kim completed his radiology residency and musculoskeletal fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an imaging informatics fellowship at the University of Maryland. He is an active member of ACR, RSNA and SIIM. Find him on LinkedIn here.
