Opportunities and the Evolving Provincial Medical Imaging EHR Landscape

Philip Griffin is Director, Clinical Viewers and Clinical Data Foundation at Ontario Health | Santé Ontario, where he leads the provincial clinical viewer, provincial patient viewer and clinical data foundation for Ontario’s electronic health record (EHR).

With a career spanning healthcare IT, government and enterprise technology, Philip has held senior leadership roles including Director, Provincial Common Integration Services at eHealth Ontario, where he was accountable for the Health Information Access Layer (HIAL) — foundational infrastructure enabling the provincial EHR. Earlier in his career, he held a platform strategy leadership role at Microsoft Canada.

Philip brings deep expertise in health information systems, interoperability architecture, program delivery, and organizational change management — and has been directly involved in shaping the data and clinical viewer infrastructure that underpins provincial imaging and clinical data initiatives in Ontario.
