Managing Evolving Cyber Risk to Patient Care

Kashif Parvaiz, MBA, P.Eng, CISSP, CISM, PMP, is VP, Consulting & CISO at Arancia, where he leads the governance, risk, compliance and consulting portfolio, providing advisory and assessment services to organizations across the healthcare and public sectors.

With over 20 years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, Kashif has built and led security programs at some of Canada’s largest institutions. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Security Officer and RSOC Program Director at University Health Network, where he led a provincial initiative to strengthen cyber capabilities across more than 15 Ontario hospitals — including the development of a multi-year healthcare security roadmap and migration of multiple hospital sites to managed security services.

A recognized voice in Canadian healthcare cybersecurity, Kashif has spoken at leading forums including HIMSS, RSA, Evanta, and Sector, and brings a practical, patient-care-focused perspective to cybersecurity in complex health system environments.
