Session: Benchmarking Multimodal LLMs (VLMs) in Radiology
Dr. George Shih is Professor and Vice Chair of Informatics in the Department of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Associate Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
A physician with a dual background in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering — holding degrees from Duke University and the École Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunications in Paris — Dr. Shih brings a uniquely technical lens to radiology and AI. He is co-founder and COO of MD.ai, a cloud-based platform enabling clinicians, researchers, and engineers to annotate, build, validate and deploy medical AI solutions. He serves on the SIIM Board of Directors (2023–2026) and has held leadership roles on RSNA’s Machine Learning Steering Committee, RSNA’s Radiology Informatics Committee and the SIIM Machine Learning Committee.
