David Koff, MD, FRCPC, FCAR, is Professor Emeritus of Radiology at McMaster University and former Chief and Chair of the Department of Radiology. He is widely recognized for his leadership in medical imaging informatics, teleradiology and healthcare interoperability.
Dr. Koff is Founder and Director of MIIRCAM, the Medical Imaging Informatics Research Centre at McMaster, where his research focuses on radiation risk, technology validation and the application of AI to medical imaging. He also chairs Canada Safe Imaging, part of international radiation safety campaigns and co‑developed the Canadian standards on lossy compression.
As Co‑Founder of RealTime Medical, Dr. Koff has worked to expand access to diagnostic imaging through innovative teleradiology and workflow solutions. His combined academic, clinical and entrepreneurial contributions have significantly shaped the evolution of digital imaging and radiology services across Canada and internationally
